S1E01- A review of the new Doctor Who Eleventh Doctor's Sonic Screwdriver
"Before I get to the screwdriver itself, I just wanna show you the box, which is right here. It's a plastic cylindrical tubing, it is blue, with the new "Doctor Who" logo across the front, and obviously "The Eleventh Doctor's Sonic Screwdriver", a picture of Matt Smith holding... brandishing the new screwdriver. I think that's concept art there, 'cause that's not what the new screwdriver looks like. Comes with lights and sound effects, just open up the top here to remove the screwdriver. Very nice box if you wanna take the screwdriver out, put it back in, if you're a collector. Aslo has "Spring loaded for extending action" writen there, anyway very nice box.
"Turning to the screwdriver itself, it is massive, comparing it to the 10th Doctor's sonic screwdriver, made by Charcter Options, like this one here, even when this is in fully-open mode, when the emmiter is extended to it's highest point, it doesn't even match the new screwdrivers size, it's just enormous. it's something I can't even get over the size of this thing. Anyway, in order to show you how it works, you can see this little button here, *presses button* the front emmiter lights up. This time it's green instead of blue, which I think... it..it's a nice touch I think. When you press this button here, it extends the emmiter here like the Master's Laser Screwdriver. When you press it, *Presses other button* up she pops. The claws stick out from the emmiter which is a nice touch, I like it. The one problem I have with this is that it is massive, it's.... it's just huge. The one problem is that when the emmiter is up, you can't use this little button down here, that's rather annoying. To Compancate, Character have put this big red button on the end. Push big red button... *Presses third button* activates lights and sound effects. It's really annoying actually, I really don't like that"
